If a card has a Visa or MasterCard logo, it will be accepted anywhere those types of cards are accepted. I believe Capital One issues both types of cards.

If you are approved, when they send it to you, you will be told your limit. yes you can use it a few times a year for emergencies, and it depends on your limit if its enough for the computer then yes. IF you spend over your limit, they change huge fees each month extra until you get below your limit. If you only pay minimum monthly payments, you will never be paying on the debt amount enough it will keep snowballing.
This is one of the reasons for our economic crisese right now, people not understanding credit cards and how much interest is charged etc etc. its best to make a min of double the min payment at the least.
Take into account if you lose your job, you cant pay, and then the real problems start. Save up a few hundred dollars, pay part of the computer in cash, and part on your credit card. It will be a visa or master card, all stores take those.
Buying in a store is better than online, unless its a big place like Best Buy or Fryes electronics, they do sell good clearnace deals, and they are trustable, buying from some unknown company, may not help if the computer is broken when it gets there, or dies right away.
Be careful, what you do now affects you for years and years.

You have to be dressed up as a viking when you pay with the Capital One card.

It doesn’t really matter the company you get it from, its the logo on the card. Visa and Mastercard are pretty much accepted anywhere credit cards are accepted. It depends on what your limit is as to wether you can buy the laptop. However, i don’t advise using the whole card for the laptop. Save up a few hundred dollars to use as a down payment, and then use the credit card to pay for the rest. You never know what’ll happen in the future, and you don’t want to end up unemployed and unable to pay off your balance.
