My son is racist to people with Down Syndrome?
Another time, I was driving my son to a football game when we passed a group of Down Syndrome peopleon some kind of day trip. My son started fuming and spitting with rage, urging me to pull over. In shock, I did. My son ran over to the Down Syndrome guys and started punching one of them in the face, calling him a “Chinaman” and a “retard”.My son is racist to people with Down Syndrome?

Because he was expelled, my son is even more hateful of people with Down Syndrome than ever before. He was arrested for harassing employees of a cafe in our town that only employs the mentally handicapped. He threatened the owner with promises of violence against the staff, and said he would burn the business down.
I am a father of three children, 2 girls and a boy. My son was recently expelled from school for racially attacking a fellow student who has Down Syndrome. During the assault my son called the boy several racist names and told him to “go back to China”. The boy was hospitalised and his parents have decided to home school him because he’s too scared to be around other people his own age.My son is racist to people with Down Syndrome?

I’m at my wit’s end. I don’t know how to control my son’s hatred for these people and stop him getting into trouble. I warn him he’ll end up in juvenile hall before long, but he just doesn’t care. He sits in his room all day writing poetry about eliminating people with Down Syndrome in death camps, and experimenting on them.

Couln’t be asked to read the question, just answering to say that trisomy 21 (Down Syndrome) isn’t a race, therefore your son is not racist toward people with Down Syndrome. He discriminates against them maybe?

You should seek some counseling for your son. That type of rage toward a specific group is very unhealthy and will only get worse if untreated. Not to mention, if he’s under 18 then you can be liable for his actions – not ciminally, but in a civil court.
I see where ‘racist’ comes in to play as he’s using a racial slur to describe them. I don’t think your son is racist, but he is a complete threat toward the mentally handicapped.

If your son has truly committed all of the above mentioned violent acts, he should be hospitalized. He has not only repeated threatened, but repeatedly acted on those threats of violence.
He is out of control, and you apparently lack the ability to address it as a parent.
Get this boy into therapy before you find yourself seeing him only on visiting days at the state prison.

This is so sad. How old is this boy? What started his hatred of these people ? Just boyhood teasing or something deeper than that? He needs some serious therapy and needs to learn how to empathize with these people.
Has he been reading material about Nazi’s, deathcamps, etc? What is the root of his fascination with people with Down Syndrome?

1) That’s not racism, that’s discrimination.
2) It honestly sounds like your son has Downs syndrome, he sounds moronic. Down’s Syndrome works with an inferior intelligence to others, well what kid with any decent common sense or superior intelligence would take the actions your son’s taking. Your son sounds like a F U C K I N G retard that has an even more serious case of Mental Instability than the others do.
